Points positifs : detente

Points positifs : We only booked in at this site because we had been evacuated from where we were meant to be staying this week. On arrival at reception we showed the lady, who spoke no English, and didn’t understand my French, our booking confirmation. She could find no trace of the booking so told us to go to a mobile hut near the shop. This turned out to belong to eurocamp, who obviously knew nothing about us. Back to the first reception and a confused conversation went on. Finally the lady fetched someone who was much more helpful and found our booking on another system.

À améliorer : Then we tried to pay,but their machine rejected four of our cards. In the end I managed to pay using the email link and my phone. Apart from that, this site also had bad weather so we were told to park on a road so we didn’t sink into the mud. Apart from that we cycled to a couple of local villages for lunch. L’auberge jeanne d’Arc in st Catherine is worth a visit. The campsite shop is very well stocked, but there weren’t many activities available. Best thing about this campsite was the sanitary block, just like a nice hotel.

Points positifs : Leuk zwembad en klimbos

À améliorer : Sanitair toiletten en douches waren niet echt schoon. Dit zijn we op andere campings met 5 sterren in Frankrijk nog niet tegen gekomen. Gehele park wordt gerund door studenten. Verder zijnnwe abrubd gestoord tijdens een kookmoment met scottle. Die moest direct uit. Er was een bbq verbod wat we nog niet konden weten. Er hing alleen communicatie bij de receptie. Verder mooi park met genoeg dingen te doen voor een paar dagen verblijven.

Points positifs : Mooie faciliteiten, zwembad, ruime plaatsen, genoeg schaduw

À améliorer : Hygiëne in toiletten bij zwembad bar was ontoereikend, 5 pony’s voor rondritten leiden een droevig leven in een kleine wei zonder beschutting

Points positifs : Cleanliness, setting is beautiful.

À améliorer : Restaurant food not a good standard menu had little choice , needed to be open every day. Only a few activities offered for whole week

Points positifs : Mooie camping, mooie omgeving, diervriendelijk, vriendelijk personeel, leuk restaurant met lekker eten en vriendelijk personeel, leuk zwembad zelfs 2 en een mooi meer,goede campingwinkel en nog veel meer,voor ons een mooie plek om lekker vakantie te houden, we komen zeker weer terug.

Points positifs : The campsite has many facilities even though we weren't able to fully utilise them during our stay. The sanitary facilities are modern and clean, and there are some lovely walks through the trees and around the lake. It is close to many of the Loire's attractions and we were able to visit both Futuroscope and a Chateau during our stay. The food in the restaurant was nice.

À améliorer : Our stay was spoilt by having camping equipment stolen from our pitch whilst we were out shopping, which has never happened to us previously over many camping trips to France. It was also surprising given how quiet the campsite was. Whilst this is not a direct reflection on the campsite itself, it may give an indication of the type of people who frequent it.

Points positifs : We went as part of a large classic car group. Our group organiser liaised with Christine the owner of the Parc and everything went very well. We had large gatherings each evening and were able to put a large tent up to accomodate us all for each event. One evening we had a quiz night which we were allowed to hold on the large verandah outside the restaurant. Another evening we had a pre arranged meal for over 100 of us organised by the restaurant staff. The meal was delicious and the staff so friendly and professional.
