Gandalf made our NC500 holiday even better than planned. Chris and Ali were fantastic to deal with the whole way through. Ali gave us a great tour of the van to begin, and the whole family even pitched in with help from afar when Gandalf punctured a tyre. Coming from someone that has only ever owned hatchbacks, the van is incredibly easy to drive, has no problems getting up mountains, or travelling down tiny country roads. There are more than enough options to help cook meals, to the point where I completely forgot about the BBQ! And there was a good amount of space for sleeping 2, with one of us in the pull-down, and the other in the pop-up. I’d really recommend both the van, and dealing with Chris and Ali. Septembre 2021

Chris is a great person who very quickly became a friend. The campervan was in first class condition, clean, tidy and with all the required cooking utensils and a few extras to get my holiday started. The campervan performed faultlessly over the 7 days I had it and completed around 750 miles. Septembre 2021

It was the best decision to take Gandalf with us on our trip! Easy to drive for the first time campervan driver, has everything you need for comfortable wild camping. The only advice for those who want to cook mainly inside Gandalf - the water tank is enough for about 3 washes. Chris was very helpful and easy to reach throughout the trip (Scottish Highlands reception permitting!). Definitely recommend. Septembre 2021

You could not find a better van and more friendly host than Chris and his fantastic VW van Gandalf. We had fantastic time in Scotland and will definitely come back but this time for longer period and will properly explore west cost of Scotland. Juillet 2021

Gandalf the grey campervan more than met our expectations and Chris was a fantastic host. We took the camper for a week to the Trossachs and the Isle of Mull, and Gandalf was very smooth and easy to drive, even on the single track roads in Mull. Chris has equipped the camper incredibly well with more than you can ask for, with some great personal touches as well. Converting the camper from driving mode to sleep mode was straightforward when you get the hang of it, and cooking and eating in the van is also really easy. Would definitely recommend Gandalf to others, and if we want to rent another camper on Scotland in the future Chris and Gandalf will be the first place we look. Juin 2021
