What a superb home from home Eric was on our tour round the NC 500. He never missed a beat and was a pleasure to spend 10 days in. James could not have been more helpful with regard to communication and hand over etc, and all in all superb service.

Loved our experience of hiring Eric from James who made it very easy - from the adaptable pick up time to explanation of the van. James is very friendly and helpful and would recommend hiring from him. It was our first time in a camper and we did all of the NC500 staying in different campsites and loved every minute. The camper came with everything you need and we’ll definitely be back as there’s so much to see that a week wasn’t long enough!

Exploring the Scottish 500 in Eric with my son is a trip which will live on in our memories, and one I recommend to anyone that has not visited the highlands.
Eric lived up to all our expectations and was the ideal size for two adults, providing an unexpected level of comfort , facilities for wild camping (which we did apart from two nights) and was surprisingly warm.
The ideal size for navigating the narrow roads that wind there way around the coast Eric didn't let us down once (though I let him down in the last hour of the trip but less said about that the better).
James and his son were excellent 'hosts', gave a detailed hand over and demonstration of the equipment on arrival and a very professional hand back on completion of an unbeatable Scottish 500. Fully recommended for all explorers.

Eric was a stellar little pal for our trip up to the Orkney islands. Slept 3 large males mostly comfortably (one slept very comfortably). Loves the little kitchen and the deisel heater is great whilst plugged in. Just the right size tobuzz around try hose remote roads. Not overly big which worked out great. James was excellent to work with and gave us a great orientation. Would totally recommend!

Handover was very smooth on departure and return thanks to James. Takes no more than 20mins to do forms and James to show you around Eric. We visited Isle of Skye which was magical and will go again. Eric is a long wheelbase version so you get a little extra space which is nice. Eric is not too big to take down some of the narrow roads on Skye although you have to dodge and swerve the pot holes! We are already planning our next trip. If in doubt…jump in and book Eric or one of James’ other 2 vans and go for it! You won’t regret it.

We had a fantastic time in Eric! Scotland is truly beautiful and we took Eric out on the NC500. James was so helpful and I had so many questions and requests, he couldn't have been more accommodating.
The van is lush! Clean and comfy. My personal feelings are this van comfortably fits 2 adults and maybe 1 or 2 small children but it wouldn't fit more than 2 adults. The storage is surprisingly big, especially the fridge which held plenty.
James has the softest sheets I've ever slept in, must be the Scottish air that makes them so fluffy.
Being automatic was also brilliant and made it super easy to drive.
We sat out under the awning every night, with the chairs and table provided. Even when it rained, we could sit comfortably outside.
I cannot recommend this van, James and Scotland enough. We WILL be back!

What a wonderful 5 day adventure travelling to the Western Isles in Eric. The van was clean and well kept.....perfectly fitted with all you may need to go off grid. The bed was super comfortable with everything super easy to use.
James was lovely, really helpful and very relaxed. Totally recommended James and his fleet of vans. I'll definitely be going back there on my next trip to Scotland!

Eric had all we needed. We could travel all roads as the van is never too big. You can even camp on designated sites if you don't mind not having a toilet and a shower for a night. James was easy to reach for anything we needed ( we only had a hiccup with the alarm on the first day which was easily solved). We definetely will book again to explore Scotland further.
