Nous avons passé de superbes moments avec notre ami de route: le Peugeot Boxer! Il se conduit très bien.
L’intérieur est propre et fonctionnel, petit souci quelques fois avec la plaque de cuisson qui était capricieuse lors de la mise en route et donc nous ne l’avons pas utilisée comme nous pensions le faire (voici pourquoi je mets 4 étoiles). Le chauffage quant à lui se met très vite en route. Le camion devient un petit cocon avec les jeux de lumière.
Je recommande donc le camion de John et Martin, très réactifs et arrangeants.
Leur ami, qui s’occupe de nous expliquer le fonctionnement du camion lorsque nous venons le chercher est une personne adorable et pleine d’humour. Il vous met à l’aise rapidement.

We zijn net terug van een reis in Schotland met the Beast of the East en hebben een erg fijne ervaring gehad! De campervan voldeed volledig aan onze verwachtingen en we hebben, zelfs in de herfst, een prachtige roadtrip kunnen maken.
Martin en John waren erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam en wanneer we tijdens de reis vragen hadden of er iets opgelost moest worden, waren ze goed te bereiken. We zouden dan ook zeker hier nog een keer huren.

Our road trip took us through Scotland from Loch Lomond to John O'Groats and back. The initial handover and subsequent return of the van went smoothly with no issues.
We did however, have one or two issues with the van: trouble with the Turbo engine which resulted in us having a motor mechanic come out to check it over. The problem wasn't entirely resolved but it didn't impact on our journey as we were able to 'manage' it. Overall, we felt the van was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay in it. John has advised that this particular van is being replaced at the end of this season, so the issues we encountered shouldn't be a problem for others hiring from BOE camper vans.

The van was amazing from start to finish. The handover was easy and took less than an hour. There was a lot of information but we were so glad it was all in the folder too to make it easy when we were starting our journey (we were 1st time campervanners).
The van drove well and the inside had absolutely everything we needed. The heating was great, heated up very fast and made it cosy. The bed was comfier than my bed at home, slept like a queen even in the yellow weather warnings. Communication prior to and during our rent period was fantastic. Very helpful and quick to respond. Next time I would book through their own website instead of Goboony to save some money.
Only downside was that the handbrake was broken so we found it difficult to level the van using the wedges when only leaving it parked in gear instead of using the break.

We took the beast of the east to do the NC500 route and it was amazing. The camper is perfect and genuinely had everything needed to make our trip the best. The bed is very comfy too. I would 100% recommend, John and Martin were great at communicating and were very accommodating. I would definitely use the camper again!

John et Martin nous ont confié leur van et nous nous y sommes senti comme chez nous. Malgrés quelques péripéties nous avons passé 7 jours merveilleux. John a été disponible tout le long de notre périple lorsqu’on en avait besoin.
Si vous voulez passer comme nous un séjour au cœur de l’Ecosses dans un petit cocon, je vous recommande le camion de John et Martin.

The “Beast of the east” campervans is a little van with all the things you may need during your journey: the kitchen, the toilet and a comfortable bed. The van is equipped with all the stuff you need to cook: plates, glasses and pans. Because of the solar panel on the roof you can do free camping wherever you want . The space inside the van is little, because of its dimensions, but well organized and very comfortable. John and Martin are two helpful and very kind guys who explains to the customers all the procedures to use the van at its best possibilities. They are very helpful in providing all the informations about the van and about Scotland in general.
We rented the campervan for a journey of 9 days and we had a very pleasant journey around Scotland. We had an amazing experience with the guys and with the van, in the future we would rent it again. Absolutely recommended.

We had the best experience with Beast From The East and the hosts! John and Martin were super easy going and flexible, very quick with responses, and really went above and beyond to make our experience a great one. The van itself is superb - immaculate, spacious and equipped with everything you need. Looking to re-book in the near future, can't recommend enough. We're first time campervan hirers, the initial walk through was really thorough, and the van instruction manual had thought of everything.

Das Beast of the East ist ein wirklich traumhaft ausgestatteter Campervan. Es ist alles vorhanden, sauber und super funktional. Wir haben uns während unserer 2 wöchigen Reise wie Zuhause gefühlt. John und Martin sind exzellente Vermieter und haben uns bei Fragen sowie bei An- und Abreise perfekt unterstützt.

We had an amazing road trip to the highlands with the beast of the east campervan. We were surprised how well equipped and comfortable the van was as they thought about almost everything for the kitchen. The van has many functions such as a cooking plate, a fridge, heater, and a little bathroom. All of it was explained at the beginning and could be read in the welcome pack they gave us. It felt like a rolling home for us.
The owners Martin and John are both great and very friendly. They also left us some drinks and snacks for tasting.
We recommend BoE Campervans to all adventurers and those who are guaranteed to be some after the trip.
