Dick Van Dyke was absolutely perfect for our long weekend in the Lake District!
Ann Marie and Ollie were amazing and made the whole collection & drop off process super easy and very little hassle - great service throughout.
The van itself is perfect for a young couple - it is very cozy and warm, however can be more spacious when the roof is pushed up. We thought that it would be a struggle with more than 2 adults and one child (or two small ones). The van has a lot of character and although it is an older model and has clearly been loved, everything works fine and we were able to enjoy our trip with no problems.
The van comes with the basics for everything you need to camp and the battery allows more off grid adventures. Although he is a tank and pushed through - Dick Van Dyke is not a massive fan of steep inclines which is fine.
Anyways we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away and look forward to our next DVD adventure!

We had a brilliant time with this VW camper it’s definitely an older van with loads of character, and honestly, that was part of the adventure. If you’re expecting brand new and polished, this isn’t it but if you want something with personality and a bit of charm, it’s perfect.
What really made the experience stand out was the owners. They were incredibly receptive, easy to communicate with, and made the whole process feel seamless from start to finish. Any questions we had were answered quickly, and the handover was straightforward and relaxed.
All in all, a fun and memorable experience. The van adds to the journey rather than just being transport, and with such great owners behind it, we’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something a bit different.

Les propriétaires ont été très agréables à traiter, nous ont fourni des instructions claires et se sont assurés que nous avions tout ce dont nous avions besoin pour notre voyage. Dans l'ensemble, ce fut une expérience incroyable et nous n'hésiterions pas à louer à nouveau ce camping-car pour notre prochaine aventure. Hautement recommandé pour tous ceux qui cherchent à explorer la nature en tout confort !

I went up to all around and back from the Peak district with 4 teenagers. Dick Van Dyke was reliable and ok on all the different types of road. It is an 18yr old manual diesel. So driving it took me back to my youth when cars sounded like cars and you have to listen and feel the engine to drive. It was really fun and only took a few minutes to get back in the swing of a gear stick. The conversion part of the camper is new and very well done. Loved the 2 ring hob/heater which runs off the diesel (no gas bottle needed). The storage space is amazing. Lots of storage at the back. There is what looks like a seat at the rear which is part of the bed and was so great to put all the bags, 4 camping chairs and other parefenalia like bags of food. Then behind the front seats there was enough room for a big family tent and footroom for the passengers in the 2 back seats. Tall people watch out, anything over 5'11" and your head will be touching the roof. Middle front seat only good for shorties, not much leg room. Overall I would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful experience with this van doing a road trip all along the south coast of England. It is very well furnished and the bedding is surprisingly comfortable.
Owners very helpful with the booking and it was a pleasure to rent with them.

We took Dick Van Dyke from Leatherhead to London, the Peak District, Lake District and back and had the best time with our two doggies too.
Oli and Anne-Marie were a massive help and gave us first timers tips and tricks for Van life, quickly answered all our questions.
The van had everything we needed, was cosy, and a super comfortable and easy ride, even convinced us to start our own van conversion project.
Can't recommend enough!
