I experienced driving faults while on my journey, I contacted the owner and informed him and then I returned the vehicle 2 days early. I have been told by the owner I won’t get a refund as his mechanic can’t find a fault. Very disappointing care. The van itself is very dark inside, the bed is not full size, almost a foot of the mattress curves up the wall, it’s quite strange how it’s been done really. The van is only capable of being off grid for an hour, so the fridge and amenities are not usable or able to be powered unless your on hook up. So you can’t even have the fridge in use when travelling. The vehicle drives rough. It pulls to the right above 50mph and the steering wheel shakes, there is a large crunching noise from the front end when you turn full lock, with the owners lack of responsibility towards the mechanical faults I highlighted I would be very careful hiring this vehicle as I felt it was unfit for drive and this hasn’t been resolved. The van is basically a van with a bed fitted and some temporary amenities ie 12v fridge, I would not describe this as a Campervan, more so a day van or van with bed. It most certainly isn’t an off grid van. Juin 2026

Where do we even start. We spent a long time researching which company or website we should hire a campervan with, but based on the reviews of Goboony, and of course Bruno the van, we decided to go with Garry. Garry the owner of the van is the loveliest human you could ever meet. From the start, he picked us up from the hotel in Edinburgh (which was not a given but he offered). He then very thoroughly went through the van and how everything worked for us. A lot of information are all included in a plastic folder for us the review if we needed to. The van was clean and easy to drive, and not as big as we thought for the highland roads. The bed was comfortable (although if you’re tall like my partner, 185cm, then you may have to sleep on an angle) and the soundproofing and insulation pleasantly surprised us. We parked near busy roads a few nights and honestly the sound didn’t come through that much. On cold nights we didn’t have to add any layers on. The van was very warm (but not stifling hot either). We really lucked out with finding Bruno the van for our 8 day highland adventures. Lastly, Garry dropped us back off at our Airbnb after we returned the van. He really went above and beyond to get us settled in from the start to finish. Meeting Garry was a highlight of our trip and we feel so grateful to have met such a friendly and enthusiastic local (he also has 2 of the sweetest dogs!) Highly highly HIGHLY recommend hiring a van through Garry. He’ll definitely look after you! (We also stupidly left a pair of sunglasses in the van, but he has offered to post it overseas back for us. Honnêtement le van fait gagner beaucoup de temps en Ecosse on a pu faire tellement de choses en 4 jours . Il faut s’avoir s’adapter se suffir du nécessaire et laisser le superflus . Bruno is an nice campervan and we have had an amazing trip with Bruno. The van has everything you need and is well isolated so no cold nights. Garry is also very responsive and helpful. Septembre 2025

Très bon contact avec Garry! Il a fait la navette entre Edinburgh et chez lui à l'aller et au retour. Nous avons visité tout le nord de l’Écosse, le van Bruno était très pratique et facile à conduire! Septembre 2025

Très bonne expérience avec Gary, très arrangeant, il vient nous chercher à l'aéroport ou au centre ville! Le van "Bruno" plutôt sympa, roule bien, mais quelques soucis de praticité pour la gestion de l'eau qui n'est pas très pratique, et il manquerait quelques rangements solides pour les affaires. Un peu plus de d'ustensiles de cuisine et les basiques sel/poivre/huile auraient été sympa ! Juin 2025

What an incredible journey! We would 100% recommend Garry and his van, Bruno. Garry is a wonderful host who took us to and from the train station. He provided us with wonderful local recommendations which improved our trip. He was very helpful with verbal and written instructions for any issues that could have come up with the van. The van itself drives incredibly, has great power and smooth handling. Tons of room in the back with all the provisions you could need. If we are able to we will definitely be booking through Garry and using Bruno again for our next Scotland adventure! Juin 2025

Nous avons passé un excellent voyage grâce à Bruno ! Le van est spacieux, propre et fonctionnel, tout le nécessaire y est pour passer un séjour exceptionnel, la conduite est également très plaisante et vous assure un voyage en Ecosse en toute sécurité. Sur un séjour de 10 jours, nous n'avons eu aucun soucis et la liberté que nous a offert Bruno nous a permis de profiter au maximum de chaque instant. Enfin, Garry est quelqu'un d'honnête, réactif et attentionné, en plus d'être très sympathique ! Si vous avez de la chance vous aurez peut-être ses anecdotes sur l'histoire d'Edimbourg... Merci Garry et Bruno de nous avoir permis de réaliser ce merveilleux voyages !!!!! Mai 2025
